Located on a prominent
site along the Harbor Freeway at the edge of downtown Los Angeles, this
investment office building is distinguished by both its form and materials.
The building, which contains 490,000 gsf of office space, is wrapped
with a skin comprised of two shades of granite and glass. The curved
facade opens out to the highway, while the rectangular portion reflects
the regular street grid. The building rests on a granite podium, which
forms a pedestrian plaza at street level. The main lobby of black, green
and gray marble opens into an interior garden and a restaurant with
fountains.
