Located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, One Logan Square is an eight-story, 450-room luxury hotel and a 600,000 gsf office tower on a prestigious central site in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hotel is directly responsive to the height and classically inspired detailing of its neighboring structures: the Library of Philadelphia, The Franklin Institute, The academy of Natural Sciences and the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. It is conceived as street wall architecture which fronts the square and responds to the exiting buildings. Clad in grey-pink granite, the hotel's polished niches increase the perception of depth and lend the facade an appropriate sense of rhythm and scale in relation to this civic square. The 30-story polished granite and glass office tower, which offers commanding views, acts as a backdrop which blends on the skyline with other office towers further removed from the square.
