Located on the East River, this 185,000 gsf training facility represents the keystone of Con Edison's commitment towards the ongoing education of its employees. In addition to the multiple and varied workshops and classrooms, the building contains a 200-seat auditorium, cafeteria and public exhibition space. Foundations for this building and two floors of structure existed, allowing the building to schedule occupancy within one year of the start of design. The copper-clad entry building is a new element. The new exterior facade is of a buff brick and precast concrete.
