This 14-story urban
infill building along 66th Street between Central Park West and Columbus
Avenue, incorporates a news studio and technical spaces with a penthouse
executive level above. Designed to link the adjacent ABC facility on
67th Street, the asymmetrical placement of the main entrance lobby allows
for both buildings to be served by a single elevator core. As a gesture
to the primary residential nature of the surrounding neighborhood, a
series of four setbacks, combined with two-story window grids, act to
reduce the building's apparent mass, while allowing light to penetrate
below.
